The Salin Plus Salt Therapy device has improved the quality of life of tens of thousands of people around the world. As our global family grows, we want to do our part to reduce our company’s impact on the environment, particularly regarding waste.

All Salin Plus cardboard packaging is recyclable, but did you know that your Replacement Salt Filter Cartridges are too?

Don’t send them to landfill, recycle your used filters!

When you remove the old filter after 4 to 6 months use, you will see it is thick with salt crystals - these are no longer viable for fan dispersion, that’s why the filter needs replacing! You will also see the pre-filter sponge, which may be clogged with dust that it removed from your room.

The salt and pre-filter must be removed before the plastic filter frame can be recycled; and there are several ways to do this:

For your Salin Plus Device

  1. Using a knife/screw driver, carefully leverage open the front face (side that salt crystals are clearly visible from) of the filter cartridge, advisable to do this in kitchen sink or outdoors!
  2. Using your hand or brush empty out the salt granules and remove the pre-filter sponge and place into the rubbish bin.
  3. Rinse under water the filter case and front face to dissolve any remaining salt crystals, using a dish washing brush/cloth to remove stubborn crystals.

Note for the smaller Salin device, replace step 1 with the following:

Using a knife/screw driver, carefully leverage open the back face (side that pre-filter is clearly visible from) of the filter cartridge, advisable to do this in kitchen sink or outdoors!

Your old Replacement Salt Filter Cartridge is now ready to be recycled!

Breathe Better. Sleep Better. Be kind to our environment!

Mini Hygrometer & Thermometer
Mini Hygrometer & Thermometer

This device is useful for monitoring the Relative Humidity level in your home. It should be placed along side your Salin Plus device. The ideal RH level is 55%. If the RH level exceeds 70%, there is a risk that your room is too damp and the Salt Filter will absorb this moisture. A damp filter can leak water as well as reducing the effectiveness of the filter. Dust mites thrive when the RH level exceeds 65%.

It is a very useful device to have in your home, not only to ensure that humidity will not impact the performance of your Salin Plus Salt Therapy Device but also if you are prone to allergies or have reactions to moulds or mites.
